Anyone Make Their Own Grill?

Hi,

dies anyone know how to make a replacement grill?

My son wants me to replace our front grill with a powder coated honeycomb metal one.

So it somewhat mimics a modern F150.

I can get the metal and I can get it cut properly what I'm confused with is a replacement grill seems to need to have a band around it for it to fit in the grill properly.

Any thoughts?
