Wanting to hook up an Apple TV to my rear entertainment system for streaming video from my phone and or Netflix type usage. Has anyone hooked up aftermarket products to the rear entertainment?

That's actually a really good idea. You'd have to buy several adapters though seeing as how I think the Apple TV is only HDMI and optical cable.

Yeah I have looked into the cables and doesn't seem expensive for them. I have wireless Internet that will be in the truck but I'm not sure if the phone and Apple TV will connect properly since it is not a real cable broadband Internet source.... Let the testing begin!
I'm guessing you are using a mobile hotspot? If so, it acts as a router, so you shouldn't have any issues. But obviously it would have to be tested in order to be verified. Good luck, let us know what happens!

I'm gonna test the set up in the house tonight before I buy cables and whatever else. I do have an iPhone and iPad but will be using my android as the mobile hotspot. I usually leave that phone in the truck anyway.

The system works fine with wifi provided by my mobile hotspot from my Android. I was still able to control the system with my iPhone and iPad which is what I wanted. Now I just gotta get a power converter, cables and hook it up in the truck.
Does anyone know if the head unit will display what's on the Rear entertainment system? I thought it may while in park, but I couldn't get it to work.
