Any recommendations? I have an '06 Eddie Bauer and need to replace struts and rotors. I am 72 and wrestling the wheels and struts is not as much fun as it used to be. But, I don't want to turn the job over to someone who doesn't know what they are doing. Thank You!

When time comes to replace my struts on my 03 I plan to go with the KYB assemblies for an easy swap out with new springs and all.

Brakes, I picked up the powerstop Z36 kit for mine last summer and they've been great, aside from a sticky caliper that has warped a rotor. Can't fault them for that however. Stopping is whisper quiet with no fade that I've experienced. I've only towed with them installed twice and heaviest load was under 4k so not much of a stress test. You pretty much couldn't tell it was there however.

I am entering retirement. If you get yourself the parts and the truck to Kerrville, TX I’ll be happy to help you. I got all the tools. Message me if interested. I’m also fairly sure other members perhaps closer could also offer help.

Texasscot - Thank You for the great offer, but I am looking for a recognized shop in Austin. It doesn't get much better than Kerrville and to the West. I have spent a great deal of time riding the the Three Twisted Sisters, hwys 335,336 & 337.

I did all 4 on my own 2011 King Ranch EL last month. I'm 62. It's not really that bad. The only caveat is that you absolutely need a 3/4" drive torque wrench that can go to over 400 Ft/lbs. Also, don't put a lot of faith in the YouTube videos. They show removing several items that don't really need to be removed. Best to use a Haynes or Chiltons manual. I went with Monroe assemblies as O'Reilly Auto showed only the KYBs without the springs as being available. I believe changing the springs with the struts is a very sound judgement call.

I've done my 2003 twice using full assemblies and it is relatively straightforward. I suspect the 2003 is an easier proposition than the 2011 as i don't remember that level of torque being required. Then again, my buddy Gordon who weighs 225 lb and has 3 ft arms helped me. I'm not sure what torque that works out to lol.
