I don't know if I'm making this feature up but I'm definitely being hopeful so I don't have to change the power steering pump lol, but I'm wondering if my '14 EL 5.4 automatically stiffens the wheel so you can't accidentally jerk it at highway speeds?

My two Navigators have variable assist power steering. It provides less power assist as speed increases. I do not know if that is available on an Expedition.

Any my 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4 had “drift compensation” electric power steering, according to the vehicle owner’s manual and other published data.

My '17 has 'Electric Power-Assisted Steering' (EPAS). I believe it's been on all Expy trim levels since 2015.
