I noticed back a few months ago that my power window in the backseat on the driver side stopped working (it was fully rolled up and I was not able to roll it down). Unfortunately, personal life took over and I never had the time to properly diagnose it. However, I finally got around to checking it out these past couple of weeks.
At first I thought it was the motor that was blown, since there was no noise from it no matter which buttons I pressed, so I opened the side up (the foam I mentioned in my previous post was just water-protection, carefully cut it off so that it can be put on again). I removed the motor and tried it directly on the battery, and it worked flawlessly in both directions. After that I checked the power to the contact of the motor and turns out that there is only power in one direction (up). I manually pushed the window down while the motor was removed, and then reinstalled it. Rolling the window up worked perfectly fine once the motor was in place again.
Here is a list of other things that I tried:
Does anyone have any advice on what could be wrong? Or how the wiring is done?

- Tried the backseat button in the front passenger seat, there it worked fine
- Tried buying a new button for the backseat (just for the heck of it, only $8 on Amazon), did not change the situation
- Swapped the backseat motor with the front passenger seat one, did not change the situation
