Just noticed today that the left power window in the backseat is dead. It worked perfectly fine (good speed both up and down, no glitching) just a few weeks ago. Don't use it too much so not sure when it went bad. The car has a ton of miles on it (250000), so I wouldn't be surprised if it is something fairly simple.
Since neither the front nor the rear controls work for that specific window, I was thinking that maybe it's just a cable that has shaken loose close to the motor, or corrosion. Took off the panel to check but found a thin layer of foam that was glued stuck that I did not want to peel away without first knowing more about what I am doing.
Anyone else ever experienced a similar issue? Should I take care in removing the foam (and glue it back on afterward) if I want to attempt to look at this myself? And finally, if anyone has any idea of what a repair like this could cost at a shop (worst case -- dead motor, best case -- loose cable), I'll gladly listen.
