I have a 2018 Expedition Max with the max tow package and have been unable to setup the pro trailer backup assist. The coupler and actuator are mounted on top of the tongue and causes two issues. 1) there is not a "clean" area for the sticker and 2) because of the height of the actuator the geometry is out of whack. The truck wants the height of the sticker to be lower than it actually is.

Has anyone encountered this? (Pic attached so you can see the actuator?

I had a similar situation. I had the additional issue that I had a solenoid that prevents brake application electrically when I back up (great feature, especially with disk trailer brakes). The initial problem I had was that the solenoid was exposed and broke. When I replaced the solenoid, I covered it with a U shaped piece of sheet metal. As it worked out, this U shaped piece of sheet metal is the perfect spot to mount the sticker. So, if you add a u shaped piece of sheet metal behind your hitch at the same height, you will have a place for your sticker. The only trick you have is that you would have to move your trailer jack back a little or take it into account when making the U shaped piece of metal.
