I verified each switch with a vom and also put a jumper in the plug to see if the lights/door ajar message would go away which they didn't.

on each of the door switch connectors one wire will be a solid black and the other wire will be two colors Take your ohm meter and check each of the solid black wires and read the ohm value from the solid black wire to a good ground point Post the results for each door

remove the back cover on your DVM and check to see if a fuse is blown There may be a fuse there that protects the DVM from a over current condition

I'll check the DVM tomorrow and ohm out the grounds and post them here.

you may also want to consider taking a long piece of wire and hook it directly to the NEG battery terminal and use that as a test point for ground That way you know you have a good solid ground point for any tests you make

Good news! System is fixed so to speak. Ground for all doors was good but the front/passenger switch was bad in addition to the rear one. Went to pull it and it came apart. Will replace it when the new ones get here. bought this back in July from a local used car dealer. I knew I had the problem but fgured I'd eventually fix it. My problem was compounded by the fact that some idiot at the car lot had tried to trouble shoot it by putting lithium grease on all the connectors. I ended up using contact cleaner to clean all the connectors. For now the 2 bad switches on the passenger side have jumpers in them and will be replaced when the new ones come in. A big THANKS to everyone that helped me on this I really appreciate the forum members and the wealth of knowledge that's exemplified here. Now a onto new thread about my other problem TPMS system.

No I forgot and just changed the battery that had been in there for probably 10+ years. I'll check the fuse tomorrow and report back.
Thanks
