The battery, replaced in 2021, started going dead when it sat a while. Last Friday it was dead so I charged it and took off to get some building supplies. While at Home Depot it died and needed a jump start.
On the way home it conked out. No power at all. Had to get it hauled home by AAA. I put the charger on and it pegged the meter. Must be a dead short in the battery.
I bought a new battery and put it in. Started right up. Next morning it's totally dead and there's a slight smell of burning. I put the charger on and the meter goes high but not pegged. Disconnect the ground and connect charger between hot and ground cable. Its meter does the same.
The engine bay is packed so tight on these things a mouse would find it hard to squeeze in. I don't know where to begin to look for the electric problem.
