I don't have a 21 but I'm curious as to what might be happening. Can you provide more detail? Sounds like a battery or starter issue if the relay is engaging.

I've had one minor battery issue over the last couple of years. It seems my battery won't take a full charge, but enough charge for everything to work other than the Auto Stop Start "feature." On my first or second service trip I had the battery and alternator checked and they were OK. Lately after it has not been driven much for several days, the touch sensors in the door handles only work on the driver's door handle and the radio won't stay on for a full ten minutes after you shut off the engine w/o opening a door.

I bought a NOCO Genius AGM battery charger and, when I can't unlock the rear doors by touch, I hook it up. There have been times after I had the trickle charger on for three or four days and it showed a full charge on the indicator lights, I unhooked it and drove somewhere and the Auto Stop Start will work once or twice then not at all. Although it has never failed to crank over the engine, I figure that this battery is slowly dying, but until it does, I am enjoying not having to turn off the Auto Stop Start feature. Also, like everything else, these batteries are becoming scarce and very expensive too so not planning on buying a replacement until I absolutely have to.

Took it to the dealer . After thay load tested it two times decided that was a bad battery from the factory and replaced it. Just got it back today .We,ll be watching for things not working in the future.

I've experienced exactly the same issues you describe. My 2020 has 18 months and ~20K. I noticed on the last multi-hour trip, the Stop/Start began to operate again; but, after a few days of in town short hops, it ceased again. My experience and response was identical to yours relative to the start/stop ;-). I wonder how many customers experience the same and are just relieved the truck isn't shutting down so often! One last observation: I used to live in Michigan, now I live in NC. Cooler vs. warmer. In Michigan batteries on all of my vehicles lasted many years, 5+. Here in NC, I've never had a battery last 40 months in any vehicle regardless of duty cycle.

I have a 2018 and I’m on my third battery, all replaced on warranty. I live in Manitoba and it gets cold and I don’t drive the truck a whole lot in the winter months. Sometimes it would sit for 2 weeks between outings. It would seem that the parasitic load is enough to drain the battery fairly quickly in the winter.
I have installed a battery tender in the truck that I plug in if the trucks has been or will be sitting for a for a few days.
Hopefully it will extend my battery life to a few years.
Hope that helps.
