battery lights is on

Last night I started my truck and the battery light stayed on but the voltage guage read normal. I drove for awhile and the light would go off sometime but come back on. But the voltage guage never flucuated. Could my alternator still be going bad? My battery is only 3 months old so I know its good

You can have both alternator and battery tested, usually for free at auto parts stores.

What voltage are you reading when off, and with the truck on?

It was my alternator.... But probably just the regulator but I replaced the whole alt
