So I put a Rough Country 2.5/1 inch leveling kit on my rig yesterday...minus the 1" in the rear. Mostly because I followed the directions and still couldn't get the strut out. Then realized the directions were for 07-08 only. Called the company and they just said it hasn't been updated yet. Well no $h/t! Anyhow, I got nervous about removing stuff I'm not familiar with so I put it back together.

The front went on easy. I'm glad I did it because I found a bad ball joint so I replaced the whole upper control arm (I'm not about to try to change that friggin thing out). I'm comfortable with some things but I'm limited in tools. On a positive note I did gather a good chuck of tools for the job. The impact wrench is sweet! And the 1 3/16" wrench is both a tool and useful item for self defense! lol

All-n-all, I think it looks okay. I'll eventually go a little higher, and I will get the back raised the inch when I finally find some good directions.

They look nice but I had a thought that I am researching. Instead of putting in the leveling kit (Spacers) I am trying to locate a manufacturer that instead makes a strut assembly that is 3" taller for the front (bolt-on) and a strut assembly that is 2.5" taller for the rear (bolt-on). That way I have the right height that the axle and joints can articulate to but also have some actual added wheel travel.

Certus that's called a suspension lift (just being sarcastic) LOL. But yea suspension lift is usually the better option but it's also the pricer option and the sad truth is the expedition isn't a platform most aftermarket companies chase after.
