I have seen a lot of post of people recommending the Brembo brake rotors, but they are so cheap so I'm wondering if they're really that good or if I should go with something like these:

made by EBC.
I don't really care much about price, just trying to get the best since I plan on keeping my expedition until it hits 500,000 miles (seriously)

Bigger rotors always helps. Didn't suggest that, though, since most people don't consider 4k dollar brakes, even if they are better.

I remember reading in a truck magazine a test they did with an F350 with a big brake kit. I think they had it towing something (or they did loaded and unloaded test, can't remember.) Either way, it only braked something like 10-20 ft better, or something, but where the kit really helped was in brake fade. The distance improvement grew as the stock brakes started to fade from repeated 60-0 runs.

Oh yea, you might want to check to see if the kit will clear your wheels. Some of these big brake kits require +20" so the caliper will clear the wheel.

Yeah 4k is a little high... I'm debating on whether to get a kit or just new rotors. I have had the same brake pads for the last 80,000 miles and whenever I take my truck in the mechanic says my pads look like new. I wish I knew what brand they were because they put out almost no dust and stop better then stock. Also, like you mentioned, the kit may not fit in my little 18" wheels, and I don't plan on going bigger on rim size since I like having nice thick tires. So that leaves my still trying to decide which rotors alone have the best heat dissipation.

I would just put a cross drilled and slotted rotor on. I did that and noticed a big differance in my stopping ability. I know Raybestos makes some nice ones, that is what I have.
