question about rim size

I'm looking to buy some 24s for my 2004 Eddie Bauer. What modification is needed if any and how is the ride going to change? I'm concerned about the axle and the calipers getting damaged to often. Can anyone give me some advice please.

no modification is need...30's will go on with no modification...ive seen it...the ride to me is still smooth until you hit a hole...it will sound harsh and thats due to having 35 series profile...rest assured...nothing will be wrong with your rims unless you just dont see a HUGE sink hole in the road...i moved to 26'z and the ride is still the same...calipers will be fine...HOWEVER...it is advised to get the calipers...brake lines...rotors...pads upgraded...at a minimum do the rotors/pads...you'll have heavier wheels and will like the increased stopping power and virtually NO BRAKE DUST...i upgraded to powerstop crossdrilled/slotted rotors/pads...3yrs and no issues...big kit is ideal but if youre balling on a budget rotors and pads and your set...i have full turning radius with 26'z too...28'z in a couple of years
