(New plugs & fuel filter, clean t.b.,,, stock coils, injectors & fuel pump)

Ok guys I really wanna narrow the possible cause to this, it's starting to get annoying.

About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed that when in first gear starting from a stop the engine would bog or hesitate between 1k-3k rpm, as in it would hold a certain rpm and regardless of throttle input nothing changes... it just slowly crawls up the speed. Only way I noticed to bypass it is to either floor it or let off the throttle and allow it to upshift early. This is also a GIANT nightmare when towing... I have to fill up so dam frequently its not even funny

Now it doesn't do this all the time but it happens so frequently when low on gas (1/4 or less in-tank) and very rarely it happens when the tank is half full, it also never happens when tank is full. actually more so the whole truck drives and acts retarded at low speeds/low rpms when tank is near empty, it hesitates, bogs, shakes, vibrates, sputters, clicks & clacks, revs high... The whole nine yards in problems just for being low on gas....WTF!

Also no CEL and none pending, mpg's are crap since this been happening, I'm getting a strong smell of fuel from exhaust too

Anyone know how to check fuel pressure or how to eliminate probable suspects one by one? Like I really wanna narrow this down it, if I had the money I would just replace fuel pump & all 8 injectors but money is a huge factor, well thanks for any input and/or advice my ford brothers.

The fuel tank may be under a high vacuum when the level is low. Release the cap and see if you notice air being sucked in.
Fuel pressure is checked with a fuel pressure gauge connected to the fuel rail.

i'd say change fuel filter again; possibly sludge &/or water globules from the ethanol gas in the bottom of your tank.

alternatively, have your fuel tank drained/polished and go from there. Deduce you've tired some water dryer additive &/or fuel system cleaner. it could be early signs that the fuel pump needs replacing, however it should do it all the time.

let us know what you find.
