Well I got a 98 Eddie Bauer a few days back. Haven't had time to do a good cleaning on it yet but will post pics when I do. It's a 1 owner and has been well kept/maintained and lived in his garage its whole life. I checked this thing top to bottom and corner to corner. Everything is in great condition and drives great too..but there's a catch ...it has 295,000 miles on it. Normally I would've just walked away after seeing that but it doesn't look or drive like it has half that many miles. I looked at and drove a bunch of em with half the miles and they didn't come close to this and wanted alot more $$ so I took a gamble. So far so good and I have picked it to death. I'm very happy with the EB.. bet y'all can guess what color it is...

Oh yeah and it's never been smoked in either. Although I am a smoker I'm not smoking in it and plan on quiting soon. Maybe it'll help the struggle.

Awesome glad to hear that. I have a 98 eddie bauer with 213,000 kms on it. Drive great but was not maintained by the previous owner, I believe it was a farm vehicle due to the mouse droppings under the back seat (which i noticed AFTER i bought it from the dealership). Friend of mine has the same thing but was WELL maintained and is fully loaded. I am sure you will have great luck with this expy, they are tough and can last a LONG time when well maintained. Eventually i would like to get another expy but newer.

Yeah I seen a few people here with over 400k on theirs and also found a site where a guy clocked over 1,200,000 miles on a van with a 5.4L. I think he got the best gas engine ford ever made lol. He said he even got like 500k on his first serpentine belt wow!

good to see.. i picked my 98 XLT upf ofr $1000 and its got 150,000 on it, looks good exterior, and intereio is rip free but dirty. Not a "in the know" ford guy so have ben interested in how long it may or may not last.. Only got about 500 miles on it so far.. am pretty happy, rides fine, gets suprising (for the size) gas mileage (about the same as my much smaller GMC jimmy) so far only one real complaint.. wind whistle in the top of my dirvers door.. a google shows this is .. hmm I wont say common, but alot of complaints on the web.. I hve tried the tubeing trick (insert a round piece of tuning in the door seal, and ahve a new door gasket ont eh way too.. that wind whistle at 40+ mph is just to much.. if i can fix that.. I think i will be 00% happy with the cheap monster.. get a few miels on it and i htink some bigger tires and maybe lift (its a toy)..

Well I paid 2 and a half stacks for mine lol. Even if I do drop some $$ in it down the road which is likely I still won't complain, everything close to the condition its in was $4k or more some wanted 6k which is crazy by the way. Most of em had 200k anyway exept a few still in the 100k range. There was one with 83k on it and the guy wanted almost 7k for it. Hell to da No! Could be replacing parts on 1 that's sat most its life too, so I went the cheap route . Its already stood the test and if I can flip 400k with it before replacing any major part of the drivetrain I'll be tickled to death with it. With continued upkeep it just might last 500k or more. Here's to wishful thinking lol. I really doubt anyone will ever break the million mile van dudes record but it don't hurt to try... Haha yeah right! I'll put a couple pics up soon , its still dirty cause it won't stop raining round here.

Here are my pics, I finally got it cleaned up sorry it took so long. I've been moving into a new house and have been to busy to post anything although I have visted a few times just reading before bed. Here they are I still have to clean the interior but the exterior is just about there.

Wow the wheels look brand new. You should get some harley davidson headlights and you will be set. LOL

Yeah that's what I said after I polished them up. Yeah as far as headlights go I was thinking of those or lightning headlights, but I think I'm just going to clean them up for the time being. I wanna replace that factory sub first with some good stuff. Keeping everything else factory though because it still works great but I'm just not impressed with the sub. I'm also going to get an edge programmer and do some fine tuning, after that I'll be done for a while till I replace the tires.
