Just bought a 2017 ford expedition EL xlt from an auction all its missing is the front end and its "running" hopefully thats the case lol. The vehicle has 90k miles it is for my partners father so personal use. What are some maintenance i should do with that mileage. Im assuming the vehicle has been sitting so obviously oil change/filters. I was wondering should i potentially change the timing chain already or transmission oil etc? How has the 2017 3.5L V6 lasted for you guys? I added a picture aswell!exexpedition photo.jpg

No replies? WOW!

I'll add based on experience:
1. Change the oil in the 3.5 engine at least every 5K miles (or sooner) with a high quality synthetic oil. I'm a Valvoline guy but use what you want just so it's a good oil (Valvoline, Mobil 1, Castrol, etc.)
2. Change the tranny fluid and filter. It is always good to start with a baseline on maintenance items.
3. Personally I'd do a coolant flush and fill. Again, the baseline thing.
4. Have the computer scanned for any codes in the system. Should they be repaired? I have no advice on other than to fix the issues.
