hey y'all, I got an 2002 E.B. that im looking to put some custom touches to. I already did gotts mod and im planning on doing the brown wire mod as well. I also am looking to get a throttle body spacer and exhaust done. I am not sure what to do with exhaust. My brother has a 01 E.B. with flowmasters and it sounds great and my sister has an 2002 XLT with glasspacks and they sound awesome as well.. I want to do a different sound but I also want good, high flow exhaust. so my options are basically

1- catback 3" straight pipe
2- magnaflow exhaust
3- ****** exhaust

any suggestions on the exhaust?
any other suggestions on cheap performance upgrades?

I am also curious about installing an aftermarket radio, does anyone know if they make wiring harnesses for aftermarket radios that incorporate the factory amp?

I would suggest going to 3" exhaust where the two pipes from each bank merge and continue with the 3" the rest of the way back. That Y is the biggest bottle neck as I see it. That or run true duals all the way back and don't forget the x or h pipe. As far as mufflers..... most of the aftermarket units flow well enough. I would make your choice there based on what sound you prefer.

I would recommend not doing a throttle body spacer. Waste of money with todays modern fuel injection and dry manifolds.

Quoted for emphasis!!!!

Do NOT waste your money with a throttle body spacer! It effectively does NOTHING.

Gotts mod and exhaust upgrades would be the best bang for your buck.

Made it growl a little more with the silencer out...

Rear cat delete with an aftermarket cheap muffler and 3" tailpipe is what I did and sounds really good, not loud or drony but very powerful!

Well I cut mine out and went to a shop to have them put pipes in, there're still two cats in there... Just have to find a shop that'll do it I guess.
