How's it going everybody? I am sitting at work bored, so I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone has any videos of showing their tough Fords.
These videos are from a "tuff truck" event at my county fair in Iowa a few years ago. The goal was to have the fastest truck through the course. There were around 30 trucks in the stock class, and after the first 2 runs, the fastest 10 trucks ran for a third time to place. With mostly Fords and Chevys, mixed with a few dodges and imports, and even a ford taurus, after all of the trash talk against the fords, the top 10 consisted of 9 Fords and one chevy.
The truck I ran was a 1974 F100 2WD with a 360 automatic. I pulled out of my neighbors grove that sat for 15 years with a broken flex plate. Me and my buddies spent a bit of time to put on another flex plate and change the fluids, put on an axillary gas tank, and find an old carb to through on. After getting it running, we were messing around without the air filter on it and it backfired. The accelerator pump leaked and she lit up. This was the Saturday before the competition which was on Thursday. After another carb, some hoses, and plug wires, she ran better than before, Even though it was still rough.
Here are the links to the runs, and a mixture of other trucks.

I finished 4th, not to bad considering what happened.
Jump at end

The jump was after the race, and they had a longer stretch to get more speed to hit the jump. You can't see it really good from the video, but when we landed, the radiator mounts broke and it fell on the fan and sprayed all over the inside of the cab. The best part is I had to shut the truck off to wait for them to pull the Chevy out in front of me who broke down. Then when I restarted, the motor barely turned because of the radiator laying on the fan, which bent the blades back, causing the blades to rub on the pulley. After letting it sit for the night and some minor work, I drove it home on gravel roads for 15 miles.

Sorry this is so long, but hope you guys get a chuckle out of it and have evidence of a truly Built Ford Tough truck
