bunch of mechanical issues

I have an 02 with the 5.4.
Problem #1. When shifting into O/D it sometimes makes a vibration that sounds like running over rumble strips on the road. Sometimes it is very faint and other times not there at all. It had a 1405 code come on yesterday. Wasn't sure if that would have something to do with it.
Problem 2. Horn and cruise control do not work. I changed the clock spring only thing that happened was I now have the horn in all key positions except for when in the start position.

Sounds like a fuse blown somewhere.

#1 sounds like torque converter shudder. It usually starts with the O/D and will eventually move onto other gears. If it just started this recently you could change trans fluid yourself or take it to a place like Jiffy Lube and have them do a fluid exchange. If you take it to a shop they usually DO NOT change the trans filter, you have to request it or bring the filter with you when you go.

#2 As stated before check the fuse. If the fuse is good look deeper into the steering column, could be a pinched or broken wire.

x2 on the trans service or at least a good antichatter additive

on the cruise ck the deactivation switch on the master cyl for leaks and function. this is the one that was under the recall for starting fires. it should have continuity when the brakes are not on.
