buzzing sound could be a bad trany solenoid

has anyone here experience problems with a bad trany solenoid?
i am not sure if this is the case for the low buzzing sound i hear when i accelerate and when I put it in reverse. Gears shift fine, no delays, kicks or slips. The buzzing sound gets louder when i shift it in reverse but not any other gear or 4x4 mode. also, i did get it tuned up a month ago and the pan was free of metal dust or pieces. anyway, to get to the bottom of this i will be getting it diagnosed. Anyone, know what a solenoid job runs at?

you sure its not the pump?....noise from a solenoid isnt very common.....

i'm not sure what it is. but it does sound like a pump.
