Bypassing Stock Amp??

I think my factory Amp crapped out. I have no sound or anything. But I was goin to buy a new head unit.. I have the harness to plug in for the factory sub. But if I just wanna bypass amp would I just run new wires to each door from the head unit. Its no big deal to do that. But i figured the stock amp under the center is a pain to get too.

Its in a 98 Lincoln navigator with premium sound.

If you pull the center console out you can unplug the harness from amp and just splice into the speaker wires from there.
