I'm in the middle of doing it now. Had a tick which I kind of figured was valve train because of the speed of the sound. Pulled the valve covers and drivers side had 4 of the 12 rockers on their way out, and one totally seized and no needles left. Took out the drivers side cam as well. I'm doing chains, tensioners, guides, phasers, all lash adjusters, and rockers, and a Ford racing oil pump, and cam. Wish I could spring for some aftermarket cams while I'm in there, but big bucks for what I'll be doing with the vehicle. Also putting in new high flow cats, and aftermarket exhaust all the way, and 5 star tuner. Should wake it up a bit!
It's all torn down, just waiting on parts from tasca.

Well, just got done doing all the work. I'm happy to say that after priming the oil pump 4 times for about ten seconds, and seeing the oil pressure come up, it fired right up and purred like a kitten. Can't believe how quiet it is! Just have to test drive it now. If you have any questions on any part of the job, don't hesit to ask!
