Can the rear windows in an EL go all the way down?

It's never that easy.

Hasn't been easy with cars since the '70's.

Back then, "easy" was because they needed to be fixed a lot. There is nothing more enjoyable than burying a high failure rate part inside a body panel cavity. For instance, I had a late 80s Bronco with the electric rear window. Of course, the motor for it died. And there was no way to replace it without cutting metal on the interior side.

Heck I didn't even notice this. It still leaves a large opening. I don't lower it below half for the greyhounds. I do miss the rear hatch window going down like my Sequoia & 4runner had.

Sooo. Who is going to take the plunge and mod their 07-18 EL to have fully opening rear windows? Could start with a door from a salvage yard.

What is nice about these is the door panels come off without any destruction of those single use plastic push pins.

No, he sounds like a thinking person. California has really rigged the system.
If there is a regulation it's stupid, what if a car goes in the water and the window won't come down enough to escape from? Fact is the government should be severely restricted in thier efforts. And at least half fired.
