so i had to replace my battery today. not a big deal. but i could not figure out why it kept dieing. well tonight i went out to my truck and saw my amp was still lit up. that is what had killed my old batt. and the fact that it is a weak ass battery. so i just pulled the fuse and ill figure it out tomorrow. but why is it still on? i pulled my deck out and my remote turn on isnt grounding out on anything. and when my deck is off and the truck is off the amp is on. so what could it be?

If you have a voltmeter check the remote turn on wire and see if there is voltage there when the car is off. If there is still voltage there then the head unit is still sending the on signal even when it's off. If there is no voltage there then there may be a problem with the amp.

Actually a faster way to test it, unplug the remote turn on at the amp, if the amp turns off then the head unit is still sending voltage.

that is a weak a$$ battery lol i had my subs etc wired to my stock head unit for a long time i got an awesome deal on everything from a friend that wanted his trunk back lol. i had my amp wired so it was always on. when there is no actual bass going through the amp (sterio is off) the only thing the batt is powering is the led. my car was parked for two weeks i jumped in and fired it right up lol. and this is in my corolla with its 3 year old stock battery hahaha. dont feel bad u probably needed the new batt

its my deck sending voltage still. like wtf?! what ever. ill deal with it in the morning. but anyways. i have my head unit off. ill go threw the wiring for it and i think it should fix the problem. just tape everything off and good. and make sure its not touching anything.

on a side note

make sure the remote is connected to the correct turnon switch...i initial want my bass to play even when the "ACC or AAC" switch was on...but changed my mine cause that would drain my battery so it only turns on/off as the vehicle turns on/off...so i picked that starting circuit...you might've had it where it powers the amp all the time
