Car muffler on an SUV

I have a pair of basically new mufflers I ordered for the wife's car that she ended up not liking. They have about 150 miles on them. I got to thinking about putting one on the expy. Is there any reason I wouldn't be able to do that? I know some of the companies have a separate line for trucks/SUV's. Are the car mufflers not heavy duty enough?

Muffler's don't know if they are on a car or truck. All they know is they have air blowing through them.
As far as the "Truck/SUV" label, that falls into the marketing category. Charge more for the same product? Sure! If there is a difference, the manufacturers claim the truck mufflers are more free flowing without the noise.
Think about it, what is the difference between a 1984 Ford LTD with a 302 and a 2014 F-150 5.0? Same displacement, so it will breath the same amount of air. Same could be said for a Mustang GT and an Expy.
In short, sure toss them on! Worse case scenario, they might be a little quiet.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I can't imagine a stock 5.4 being any harder on mufflers then a supercharged 5.3. I actually like the tone of these mufflers and they didn't drone on her car. They were just too quiet for her. I think they'll be a good match for the Expy.

Generally trucks / suvs have more room for larger mufflers as well. Car mufflers are typically much more confined.

They're Pypes Violators. My buddy has a set on his 97 GT and they're fairly loud. But on my wife's car they were quieter then the Flowmasters that were on it. Of course my buddy's car is a turboed stroker and my wife's is stock.

put a video up when you put them on so we can hear what it sounds like. My GF nephew put some pype bombs on his 07 gt and they are loud when you romp on it.

I looked at the Bombs. I'd imagine they're loud all around. They're just pipes with nice tips.
