Catalytic Converter?

hello: the muffler shop guy says i need the converter on the passenger side closer to the top, he says i can get one off ebay cheap, anybody know what the part # is? i just want to make sure i order the right one, thanx (97 expo 4.6)

$100-$200 at any muffler shop, get a generic obd2 cat converter

just cut out the pre cats and install 2 magnaflow high flow cats

get two magnaflow 94306 cats, tell the shop to cut out the the front two pre cats and replace them with straight pipe, then replace your other two cats with the highflows, just make sure they keep your o2 sensors in the OEM locations and make sure they connect them when they are done

Have you, or know anyone that has actually done this?

Im really interested in doing this but wonder about computer throwing codes. I live in NY and we have emissions inspections. Not that Im really concerned about passing since you can go to almost any shop and pay a little extra and have them "pass" your car. I just dont want the engine light coming on.

Im driving to Florida soon and would like to do this asap.
