Hey everyone, my name is Matt and I am brand new to this forum. Just picked up a 98 4x4 XLT Expedition and wanted to introduce myself with a new thread containing my upcoming build. Still researching everything about these vehicles as this is my FIRST ever Ford vehicle. I used to drive Volvo but recently moved up to Alaska so I needed something more practical! I plan on doing a lift in the next month or so and have an enitre shop to myself to work on everything. Doing my exhaust will be first once I get all the maintenance out of the way. Ill upload some pics of the ride later on so you guys have something to judge haha.

Haven't been active for a bit so I wanted to give you guys a quick background of how I acquired my vehicle. I actually ended up getting it through a guy who was given it by the DEA. So I had a lot of room to haggle with this guy seeing that he was making 100% profit off of it. He wanted 2800 for it and ended up paying 1700 cash, which I think is great for an exp that has a strong trans and engine. Threw it up on the rack and it seems like minor problems need to be fixed before I start to drive this thing daily. Power steering lines seem to be old and look like they need a replace and the front axles may need to be replaced as well. It also runs a bit lean which I'm still unsure why. I'll prolly do some more testing this week to figure it out. Other than that I'm happy to see the attention this thread is getting and appreciate any feedback! I'll keep you guys posted on the Exp.
