wondering how hard it would be to change from the 5X135 lug pattern on my 2001 to a 6 lug. looking at getting some new wheels and the selection for the 5 lug is much smaller and the wheels i want i can only find in a 6 lug for a decent price, they are the american racing cryptic wheels. if anyone could let me know what parts along with the cost of how much it would be that would be great. thanks

Well if you use those spacers, (I wouldn't), it would automatically place whatever wheels you get 2" further away from the hub. So unless you get a wheel that has enough offset or back spacing to put most of the wheel in the wheelwell you'll be looking at rims that stick out.

I wouldn't do this.

They make cryptics in that bolt pattern just not sure if they make them in the size you want...

No it's not the same, 5.5 inches = 139.7 millimeters. I see a lot of sites listing rims with both sizes on the fitment which boggles me? Nevertheless try stopping by or calling a rim dealer, if the dealer wants to make any money they'll help you out.
