I am currently looking at purchasing a 2007 Eddie Bauer and was wondering if it's possible to swap the buckets for a bench seat in the second row? The salesman told me know because of a lack of bracing, but salesman don't always know what their talking about. Any help would be great as thismwill definatley affect the purchasing of this Eddie Bauer.

All the previous generation Expy's you could swap bucket and bench seats. I am sure the 3rd gen is the same way. The holes will be under the carpet for the bolts. The 2nd gen has 3 separate seats instead of a bench, and I would think the 3rd gen is the same here too. You may need to just purchase the third (center) seat. I am not sure if the carpet will have a cut out for the console bracing though.

Thanks for the reply. I can't imagine ford would have made such a change so you couldnt add the seat, but they have done dumber things. Hopefully someone else will chime in here.

Just think of it this way.... why would they make different bodies for just a different seat set-up? Not likely they would.
