has anyone tried to remove the cheesy chrome side molding that runs along the doors? It looks loke the EB expeditions may not have had this. It looks simple, but didn't want to screw anything up.
I'm assuming that a hairdryer and some Goo-Gone would do the trick with removing the strip. I would not put anything in its place assuming that once all is removed it would simply look like the Eddie Bauer molding (everything except the cheesy chrome). I just wanted to make sure first with the forum members so that I don't have any painting to do after this removal.
Are you talking about the side trim that protects the doors? If so, I had my 98 XLT shaved, and when they did that they took the trim off. On mine there was nothing to paint, and the trim was easy to remove. You can see in my avatar how it looks.
