Coffee down the cup holder

So apparently there is a hole in the center console cup holder, its purpose has something to do with the key fob? Unfortunately, today I spilt most of my coffee down said hole. Do I have to take my entire console off to clean up the coffee mess? I went to both the dealership and an auto detailing place and neither one was helpful. Any suggestions?

Yes, there's a hole under the front cupholder for programming your key. I can't help you with cleaning it. Seems like poor design choice, but I'm not a vehicle engineer.
