anybody know how many ohms these things are supposed to put out? guy at autozone didnt even know how to test them. i have heard so many different numbers that now Im dizzy. just hate to buy new ones if the ones i have are working, i have a misfire on 3 cylinders thanx ( 97 expo 4.6)

Honestly I don't know the ohms, and I've never had any luck depending on the ohm reading of testing coils. The best thing you can do to determine if one is bad is to swap it with another cylinder that you know is good. For example if you keep getting a #1 cyl misfire check eng light, then swap that #1 COP with #5 (or any cylinder that isn't getting a check eng light). After swapping them, drive it and see if the misfire moved to #5 and if #1 is good.

At that point if the misfire moved to the other cylinder then you know it's definitely because of the COP.
