I have received my "top end cold start noise" solution. I went to dealership this morning to retreive paper work out of my vehicle for business, and briefly spoke with tech working on my unit. He stated that the cam chain tensioner unit was defective and was not pumping up. He is replacing with a new unit, under warranty at no cost to me..

Sooooo..... It would seem the noise owners may be hearing is the cam chain slapping, which gives the impression of piston slap, knocking etc... I'll get more details if I can... but hopefully this will resolve my top end noise at this time.
