I just got my 2014 back from its 30k service, and the compass (in-dash info display, not the nav screen) has stopped working. Instead of 1 or 2 letter direction indications such as N or SW, I just have 2 hyphens. The compass zone and calibration procedures have no effect - the reset button, whether pressed or held, has no effect (it does work OK for other functions).
The dealer tried disconnecting the battery for a while to see if it came back OK - but that didn't help. It's going back to the dealer in a couple of days for further analysis, but since I need to start a road trip in a few days, I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has any experience with this or useful clues.
Everything else seems to be working OK.
