that's not the proper way to measure ride height

the proper way is to measure from the center of the wheel hub to the lower edge of the fender directly above it.

this eliminates any variances in the tires

my guess is you have a sagging or weak spring

or possibly a rotted body mount

im able to draw perfect points of reference, directly above the rear axle.
how is this not proper?

Does it have air ride? It must be shut off, before jacking. An other possibility is a broken trailing arm.

What did you do AFTER jacking it up??

You didnt, say, for example change out something like a shock, spring, or control arm, by any chance, did you?? Or tighten any bolts on the suspension???

Also, are your tire pressures matching on both sides?
