Anybody seen this on a 1st gen Expedition? I want to have some bumpers built and they need to be "high and tight" SO the plan is to bob the front frame rails back and go from there.
Any cool pics floating around?

thats wht i was thinking. i want to make a custom bumper for kind of that reason but also cause my 98 has such a huge bumper kind of useless for approaches and departures. i also want to make a custom rear bumper with a tow hitch in it.

Exactly!! My problem is that I tow out 19' toy hauler using a weight distributing hitch setup and if the receiver part of the new bumper is too high it will be all out of kilter. But I have bent my U-Haul receiver hitch where the safety chains hook and I busted my trailer light plug so I need to get all these protrusions up out of the way.

as for rear bumper, iron bull makes a pretty good one in my opinion. i will def be buying that one. as for front bumper, i agree. horrible approach angle. i am going to try and design one like iron bull but make the grille guard hug the body a little better with removable headlight guards.
