I just bought a 00 4.6L xlt and can someone tell me if a double din deck will fit in the dash opening. I looks like it will but when I look it up in Crutchfield they say no. Thanks

Crutchfield is wrong on this, they say the same thing for my brother's Sport trac.

I had a giant Nav unit in mine with tons of room left.

I had to do some cutting (its in a pdf I have if you want it) to get a double din (2 single din units) to fix in my dash....I dont know if its the same on a 00 model (I have a 97)

Yes it will fit but its not a straight drop in, you will have to cut the dash and the dash bezel.
