Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone had installed a Daystar 2in kit or equivalent in their garage and how difficult is it to do. I have been looking at doing this for a while and I went price shopping on labor and everything and wanted to try it myself. I am slightly mechanically inclined but do not have access to a lift. Anyone have pointers or things to watch out for? About how long does it take to install and is an alignment definitely necessary. Thanks guys. And any info would be great!

I did mine and it was a pain. Im slight mechanic to and it tookl me about 6 hrs. I had to go the parts store couple of times for a spring compresor and other things. One thing i screwed up on was removing my sway bar endlinks which i didnt need to touch. Good luck

So do you suggest I have someone else do it? Or do it myself?

Personally I would do it myself...

very easy but time consuming...

if possible, lift both wheels at a time, so that there is no flex on sway bars.. Remove wheel. Place jack under the lower control arm to add some upward pressure, to help make nut removal easier at the top of coil overs.

Once all three nuts are removed, slowly drop the jack. The coil overs should pop right out. If not, just step on the rotor with bouncing pressure, and it should slip right out.. No need to remove sway bars..

Add your spacers and reverse process..

:)
