I have a recent leg injury that makes it uncomfortable to drive my 2017 Expedition. Does anyone have information on installing a dead pedal to rest my left foot on?

There is a number of them listed if you search “Ford F150 Left Footrest”. Be careful that whatever you choose doesn't interfere with the parking brake pedal and mechanism.

The one and only.......Greg, as in the guy that bought my Big Tex 70DM Trailer way back in 2014?

How did you hurt your leg? Are you still road racing?

Yes! That was a great trailer. I lost my Mustang in a flash flood and hurt my knee doing manual labor. Ugh! It is getting better. My 2014 Expi had a screw of all things in just the right spot that I would use to rest my foot. The 2017 has no such misplaced screw. On long trips, I think a dead peddle will help. I am going to start road racing this spring. How are you and your fleet of cars?

The 2017 Expy is much better of a towing vehicle over the 2014, right? When I sold you the trailer, I said I was done racing and would never need one again. Also sold the diesel Excursion and the 2 Mustangs. Kept the Viper and Z06 as sunny day weekend cars. 2014 to 2019 went by in a flash with the company growing by leaps and bounds and not much time for anything else.

In early 2019 a national company offered to acquire us and after much discussion we made a deal with them. Stayed on to assist with the transition until the end of 2020 (all through Covid) and retired at the end of 2020. Still have the house in NY (can't ever give up that garage) and in 2014 bought a place in FL. We spend 6 months in NY and 6 months in FL.

Our white 2011 Expy lives down there (only 66,000mi) and we have a 2017 Expy (below) in NY and a 20' Featherlite to trailer a cars back and forth with us. What a HUGE difference towing a car 150 miles each way to a race and back and 1250 each way to FL and back!!! The Lighter aluminum trailer (1550) helps when towing with the lighter Expedition though. We pick up a third car in 2020, I'll DM you a PIC.

Sooo, Do you still have the BMW? have you used it at all?

Wow!!! All good stuff! In almost every way, 2017 is better than 2014. Especially towing. I sold the BMW and bought a boat I keep on Greenwood Lake. I am in the market for a Bronco. My wife drives the Expi. Still working with AS/400's?

What kind of boat? If you remember Joe Genovese - Blue O3 Cobra - he is now also into boats, got a 20 something foot boat with a BBC. Prolly makes 600 HP.

I was never seriously in the AS400 world. We had clients that used them and until we could get them moved to more modern infrastructure we dealt with it.

I bought a new Bennington pontoon boat. It is fun to entertain on and pull water toys. It is nowhere near 600HP!!!

It may be overpriced, but it was easy to install and is very good quality. It bolts into an existing bolt on the firewall.

Update: I drove 5.5 hours on Friday and 5.5 hours back home on Sunday. The dead pedal made it almost enjoyable. I wish I had gotten it sooner.
