whats needed to debadge the EXPEDITION/EB badge on the tailgate? blow dryer? will hair blow dryer work?

get some strong fishing line and use it to "saw" the badges off... it also helps to do it on a hot and sunny day and to use a hair dryer to heat the badges before you start to "saw" at it.... the gunk left behind can easily be removed with a "body eraser" which cheap ones attach to a drill... then just buff and wax it all.... well thats how I have done it with no damage and great success

ok...so i got the fishing line...cheapest i could find...$1.97...used my wifes blowdryer...heated up the letters and got to sawing with the line...now i just need an alternate solution to buffing the area...dont have a buffer

Walnuts, are the emblems on the older models actually held on by screws or are they on with adhesive and just pins through alignment holes?

mine had screws and adhesive... not sure about other years but 97-02 do have the holes in the fender.. pretty certain there are screws in all of them just not 100% certain

And I can jump in on '07+ there ARE guide holes, but just adhesive, no screws. And I'm not exactly sure why Ford cannot make up their d*mn mind as I had an '05 that I de-badges and it had no holes. Good luck, they def look better w/o all the logos and crap all over them.

so if i want to take off the Expedition logo on the rear it will have screws? its starting to peal. how exactly do i take it off? i have another badge i want to put there.
