Ross, how much security stuff do you do in the way of standing posts and guarding who knows what? You may not be able to get in to the plant doing the maintenance side, but we also have a fairly significant security detail on site. As long as you are doing MP duty and whatnot, that can get you in the door for that. Still pays pretty decently and there is tons of ability for overtime (I know, what is that? LMAO). The only "downside" to the security bit is they work 12 hour shifts on a rotating shift schedule. Some people like that, some don't. Just trying to give you the heads up on what to expect.

I would be very interested in the security side, if I end up getting out of the army.

JD ,send me a PM and I will give you all the inside scoop on getting in at any power plant. Keep in mind that some plants will have a different working schedule that what I talk about, so, make sure that if you don't come to my plant, that you have an idea of what that plant's schedule is like.

yeah. as long as you wire them both to 4 ohm to get the 1000 watts max power. and since RMS is 400 watts its good enough too. but also heres a hint. try to match it up perfectly to get the full advantage of your subs. RMS x2 on your subs should equal the RMS on the amp.

i have a fairly simple set up it sounds nice and is able to hit so hard when i want it to that it actually hurts my back if i keep the bass up. i have a large "ae" box thats the brand if i recall i have capacitor two cheapy walmart 10" sony xplodes being pushed by a 500 watt rms alpine mono block amp. i have tried a few different sub set ups and i keep returning the subs im surprised how well the sonys hit and no one believes they are sonys till they see them. i will probably keep them till i can afford alpine subs, or kicker. people knock on 10"s untill they hear mine lol they would surprise you

sony's arent bad subs...they used to be in the running in the 90's with alpine, pioneer and other recommended brands...dont know what happened...another good unknown brand i like that hits very hard is.....wait for it....wait for it....

VOLFENHAG!!!!

i had 2 volfenhag 12's...500 rms each...they BEAT!!! the only reason i dont have them now...and the only thing they need to fix is i was travel to savannah GA while stationed in florida...i blew one...had them 6 yrs until i blew one...i say it was becuz of the heat...it was 100+ at the time...the terminal melted slightly after it blew...but i was pushing them to the max!!! handled very well for yrs...people couldnt believe they hit like they did...then i put them in a vented box....OMG!!!

so while in savannah...i bought the cvr's...had them every since...3yrs on them now...

Ross have you guys heard of Premier Accoustics. They seem to have a big following for home theater. I have one of their subs for my theater and it thumps hard.
