differential leak! need help

i have a 1998 expo eb 5.4. today i noticed a leak in the diff, but im not sure were it is coming from. look at my picture and let me know what you think.

it looks like the pinion seal is leaking a little, but it also looks like the driveshant is wet along with the front of the tubes on the rear and the exhaust also looks like its wet (unless its just the way you took the picture) i would look at the trans or engine, it looks like its spraying back.

I was going to say the same thing. check your trans and transfer case, unless you drive backwards alot!

im going to say the pinion seal just because how its flung onto the exaust and if it was the trany it would be on the muffler

make sure the vent tube is not kinked the diff will buld pressure when it heats up

its bone dry up front, but i will check the vent tube.

Clean up with spary degreaser then drive a small distance and see if you can find it that way... It may be the front pinion seal.

I replaced the pinion seal , drove 300 plus miles and it still bone dry. Thanks all for the help and input
