i have a 05 2wd with a 105,000 miles...new plugs about 10k ago and one new coil...runs fine wile driving but when idling if i bump the pedal it will suddenly drop rpms and come back to normal and the throttle response is terrible when going from a stop instead of going gradual you have to press the pedal down a little before it catches/engages and whips you back....im thinking its the Accelerator Pedal Sensor?...sound right?

The 5.4 3v are know to have problems with the electronic throttle bodies. I would say thats the problem not the pedal.

Well I guess I'll call the dealer and see about the update.... Is there way to test the throttle body? I know I can test the accelerator position sensor with an ometer

So I just called the dealer and they said there is an update but it might might fix my problem they can do a diagnostic to check to see if it's the position sensor the throttle body or the computer for $129 he said if it needs the update there will be no extra charge.. Sound good?

Well I thought I might as well clean the throttle body just to see I it would make any deference and this is before and after pics...runs like a new truck now and only cost me $5 for the cleaner and about 30 min of my time... You just saved me $250, I was preparing myself to replace everything. My throttle body was nasty!
