When I bought my used 2005 Expedition there was no cover or cap for the 12 volt accessory plug that is located in the package tray of the center console. I've seen numerous Expeditions and none have a cover on this sockt. So I was wondering if they came that way or are the covers easily lost? Seems like there should be a cover like the other sockets in the car have have as debris can easily fall down into it as it points upward.

Anyone have an answer?

Thanks!

Eric

Package tray? You mean the pop out ash tray in the center console? There's supposed to be a lighter in there. Come to think of it, I wonder where put mine... You could probably put a top in there, like one of those "No Smoking" ones.

Technically, you aren't supposed to use that as a power point, but I think everyone does :p

It's located inside a black rectangular tray which is molded into the center console above the 2 cup holders. I'm sure it could be used for a cig lighter or an accessory plug in point. Since I don't smoke I use it for my ipod FM transmitter, but when not in use I'd like to cover it up. I found a penny in it from the prior owner.

That's it!

Now I can print this off Ebay and see if the local Ford dealer has them.

Thanks again!
