If you could increase your mileage by 3mpg, in 1 month you would travel about 1000 miles and save 11 gallons of fuel.
At $3.50 a gallon it would take about 10 months of driving to break even on the $400 price tag for the unit.

I drive closer to 1500-1800 miles a month. The unit would pay for itself after only a few months. I'll be in school for a LONG time. (Orthopedic Surgeon)

more like 0.5-1.0 mpg better at best

will it increase mileage? yes. will it give you more power yes. is it like my edge where its pricey and a pain to get it right? yes! haha but is it nice to have? O YEAH! if you have the spare pesos get it. if not then dont worry about it.

the problem is that we have gas efi motors. companys all ready get about 90% of the power you will ever get from them as they stand with out any major up grades. diesels are a different story. same with carbed motors. my dads jeep has a CAI from the factory. i disconnected it one time to see how she would run. we lost what seemed to be about 10-15hp. but by reconnecting the tube we got it back. but the main thing i did see is the power curve is a lot better. 2k-3k is a lot smoother. and thats good for take offs from red lights or up hills with trailers. or if you want to give that chevy a run for its money. haha

My earlier post was just a math calc and had nothing to do with real world results. Without knowing someone's driving habits etc, it's impossible to tell someone what their mileage results would be.
To me, any of these devices on a gas truck is pretty much just flash as there are very few things you can adjust. Some just like to know different temperature readings and like cool gadgets.
IMO unless it's a diesel motor, it's just flash and has no real ROI.

except for the fact that with the edge you can up the transmission shift pressure and save your transmission and tq converter. only the expy has these tranny problems thanks to the lower shift pressure cause it provides more of a softer shift and the 150 and 250's with the same tranny are not having the issue since there shift pressure is set higher.
