I have a 2004 Ford Expedition and it has the memory seats. When I put my key in the ignition I can hear the motor on the electric seats clicking and it will move up and down and tilt. It jsut will not go forward and backwards. Suggestions?

if its clicking then its most likely the gears on the motor or piece that allows the seat to move. see if you can look up under the seat and see if its that. if its not then idk.

I have looked underneath it and i know there is nothing under it. I am pretty sure its the motor but I was told I had to replace the whole electrical system under the seat and not just the motor. A new one will be over $400.

holy cow. for a seat motor. if its not a big deal then i would just leave it. see if theres other places that can just replace whats broken. might be cheaper.

Drivers Side Seat

I also have a 2004 Ford Expedition and have the same problem with the drivers side seat. I was wondering if you ever found a reasonable solution to your dilemna?
