Dummy Question?

Hi.

And please don't treat-me hard.

On my 5.4 2006 expedition, when I open the fuel cap ( to add gas) I notice no
air, vacuum or and sound like and previous cars that I own. This is normal or do I missing something?

Mine is like that too even after driving for a couple of hours on the highway and then stopping for gas.
