I have an 08 EB with the built in flip down DVD player. Trying to get sound out to the car speakers instead of the wireless headsets (6 kids in car want to watch and hear DVD) Is this even possible? I would think so.

Thanks in advance.

Mine automatically turns on the speakers when the DVD player is turned on. Do you still have a factory head unit?

Is it a factory or an aftermarket DVD? Do you have the factory head unit? If both are factory, you should be able to switch it from the rear of the center console, or by the HU itself. If either are aftermarket, you need to determine the pinouts of the DVD unit and splice in the proper aftermarket harness.

I have the "factory" headrest DVD system and can send audio out via FM. It's activated by a button on the remote. Maybe check that? If you read the manual, you might be able to figure it out.

Rob, is there a headphone icon displayed on the radio dsiplay?
My guess is that its currently set in "dual mode" = rear listens to headphones and front listens to speakers.
Have you tried pressing the 2 & 4 buttons at the same time to activate / deactivate the dual play mode ?
Have you tried pressing the 3 & 5 buttons at the same time to activate/deactivate the rear seat controls ?

Ok after a little careful research, I found out I do NOT have the factory DVD unit, it's aftermarket. So the only way I can get sound through the speakers is with a rf to fm converter. PLUS additional headsets are only $15 through Amazon.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
