E30 and E50 5 STAR tunes

In ordered the E30 & E50Tunes for my 2018 F150
Truck has only 1000 mileage so loaded only the E30 Friday
Difference between stock is phenomenal
Will take it easy until the 5k oil change when I will install full synthetic
Have the 93 octane tune installed in my 2018 Expedition
Was a huge increase in throttle response & overall driveability
However not even close to the E30 tune for wot performance & throttle response
Going to order the E30 & E50 tunes for my EXPY as well

I can’t really answer the car portion of your question but I can say that tuning your car typically starts arguments on this forum. Mike Wolfe is a braver man than I.

5 Star offers 87, 89, 91, 93 Octane Performance tunes & Performance/Tow tunes
They also offer E30 & E50 Performance Tunes
The E30 Tune produces about 20% more torque & hp than the 93 octane tune
The E50 Tunes offers about 25% more than the 93 octane tune tune

Here is a chart for a 2017 F150 with the 3.5LECOBOOST

So 93 octane tune produces 445hp & 500lb ft of torque
E50 Tune Produces 553hp & 617lb ft of torque
So that is about 25% increase in hp & 25% increase in torque compared to the 93 octane performance tune

Holly crap! And that is just running 93 octane fuel, nothing else?

They mostly modify the turbo boost. I run a similar tune on my VW Golf R. Stock, the car makes 292hp, with the tune I'm at 400hp. Anything more and I'd need a bigger turbo and engine rebuild.

If the Navi puts down 450hp at the crank, and runs on all the same drivetrain hardware, then it's safe to say Expy putting down 450hp at the crank is well within range.

They just let the turbo squeeze a few more PSIs.

But 553hp is a significant jump. I'd be looking into upgrading the intake, exhaust, intercooler and certainly the spark plugs.

Also, 553hp for a people-mover seems like an overkill. That is, unless you plan on racing GLS AMG off the line. I'm more concerned about long term reliability.

Plus, I'm leasing my Expy. ECU tune like this will most certainly be flagged at the dealership and void your powertrain warranty.
